Delaware limits homeowner electrical work and, since 2023, generally requires permitted work to be plan-reviewed through a licensed inspection agency. Some work (like pools and hot tubs) isn’t eligible for a homeowner permit at all. When the work has to pass inspection or satisfy an insurer, a licensed electrician is the safe path.
